As entrepreneurs, I believe we embark on a journey with a vision we are so passionate about, that we don’t know ”it can’t be done”. We are too busy doing what others say cannot be done. Determination is one of the key ingredients to your success. It matters! It’s what will often separate the winners and the ones that are afraid to step up to their own greatness.
It’s time to redefine how we look at success. Society tells us it’s about money and power…but is that really what brings us happiness? Arianna Huffington, found of Huffington Post, talks about measuring success using a third metric. I hope you enjoy this infographic. What do you think? Do we need to redefine success?
Arianna Huffington, founder of Huffington Post, has said that money and power are not the only ways we should be measuring success. We need a third metric…one that includes wisdom, empathy, health and personal well-being among other things. I also believe each and every person needs to define what success means to them personally, instead of allowing others or society dictate that. I find that my definition has changed as I’ve gotten older and go through different phases of life. Do you have your own personal definition of what success means to you? Check out this great infographic about the Third Metric.
Had an opportunity to speak at a monthly coaching meeting that Self Leaders offers. It was fun to share the journey about writing Engage! and how we got there.
Self Leaders is going amazing work on values. They are a great group and I can recommend working with them. Check them out! www.SelfLeaders.se
Here is some great advice from Richard Branson. In my opinion, he’s one of the most inspiring business leaders on the planet right now. Do you agree?
This has been the year of inspiring events for me. I’ve been to several and each one has given me insights, inspiration, and great contacts. However, I just returned from attending the Awesomeness Fest by MindValley (one of our Most Amazing Company models) and it was an experience like no other. It not only inspired me and I met some of the most incredible entrepreneurs on this planet, it fed my soul!
Sometimes we get stuck in our day to day routines and these events are a way to push the boundaries and grow in ways that you may not have expected. Especially entrepreneurs…we need to find like minded people that can relate to growing a business. Otherwise, the journey feels horribly lonely.
I’m doing a bit of research on my own to find out what people really love about events.
What is the best event you’ve ever attended and why? Email me or comment below.
